deArmas+Krawietz was founded in 2020 in the city of La Laguna, Tenerife, by Iris López de Armas and Alora Krawietz Gallardo. After individual careers collaborating with other architecture firms, they come together to work and tackle projects using a global perspective, where detail is taken into account in each of the project’s phases.
Iris López de Armas finished Architecture at ETSAM (Polytechnic University of Madrid) in 2014. She worked with several firms in Madrid doing public competitions until moving to Tenerife in October of that year, where she has been a main collaborator of several architect firms. With them, she carries out new construction and rehabilitation projects, detailed studies, urbanization projects and heritage protection catalogs.
Alora Krawietz Gallardo finished Architecture at ETSAM (Polytechnic University of Madrid) in 2007. She worked with a studio in Madrid for a year, and moved to Tenerife in 2009, where she continued her professional career for 10 years within an architecture and urban planning firm. In it, she developed new construction projects, both public and private, and collaborated in the drafting of General Planning Plans and other planning instruments.
The firm is created with the premise of treating each project in a personalized way, analyzing and designing in detail all the elements at different scales, including furniture design. We take responsibility for all phases of a project, be it rehabilitation, reform or new construction, since we understand that the process can be quite burdensome for the client. In addition to building and urban planning projects, we carry out reports, certificates, evaluations and administrative assistance with public entities.
